The administration of an estate is always complicated, often lengthy, and sometimes overwhelming. At the Law Offices of Jane F. Wolk, LLC, we are experienced in the management and administration of decedent’s estates, and are uniquely equipped to help our clients through this difficult process.
We work with executors and family members to handle all aspects of the estate administration process, beginning with assistance in the immediate post-death period, and ending with the final distribution and settlement of the estate.
We handle simple and complex probate proceedings, and have extensive experience in the Surrogate’s Courts of New York and New Jersey. Following probate, we work with our clients to collect and value estate assets, and to determine how best to manage estate property in a manner that is efficient and prudent. We prepare and file inheritance, estate and gift tax returns for both state and federal filings and we work closely with clients’ accountants to coordinate income tax issues. Finally, we work with our clients to prepare and settle final accountings, so that the estate administration process can be closed.
